Thunderstorm: November 13
We finally got the results of our labor on the roof with a terrific thunderstorm late Sunday night: failing grades all around. It was devastating to see the same old leaks back in action following a grueling weekend trying to repair the roof. After putting all the pots and buckets out once again, we lay in bed wondering what to do next. We definitely needed some advise, so the next morning Joe SMSed (text messaged) our supervisor, Morgan. To our surprise, Morgan visited us that afternoon in order to assess the roof. After touring the house and speaking to Ma, Morgan told us in private that unless another try at patching the roof worked, we would have to consider moving to another house in the village. We were shocked and devastated. We had become very attached to our house, especially after spending so much time and money fixing it up; however, we realized that we could not live in a swamp for two years. We were dreading the thought of another weekend on the roof, but we also realized that it was our only hope of holding onto the house. The saga of the roof continues….
