Off to Africa

Well, we survived the first round of shots and enjoyed a great and busy two days of training in Philly. We have met most of the other 80 volunteers traveling to South Africa with us and all we can say is "wow!". Our epic journey to South Africa begins this morning with a ~ 3 hour bus ride to JFK, continues with a 17 hour flight to S. Africa via Dakar, Senegal, and finally concludes with a ~ 3 hour bus ride to our dorms. And all in professional dress =) During the first three months of training we have been told that we won't have many opportunities to get to a computer, so it may be awhile before the next post.
However, if you send mail we will do our best to respond.... although we have no control over how long it may take to reach you.
Thanks for all of the support! We wish you all joy and peace.
